Day 2: Des Moines, Iowa to Cheyenne, Wyoming

Today we powered out another 600-mile day. There are a lot of open spaces in this part of the country and this year everything is much greener than last year. Unfortunately, we had a 45-degree crosswind that was blowing at 20-25 miles per hour most of the afternoon. At 80 miles per hour it kind of wears on you, but we still made it one of our favorite hotels, Little America in Wyoming. Here are few pictures from my gorgeous co-pilot.

Yes, Virginia, that is a goat in the back of that truck. Something you don't see on the freeway every day.

And then right after the goat, there was this awesome transportable airplane.

The Archway Monument in Nebraska where you can get caught up ion the history of the settlement of our country.

The last half of Nebraska and most of the way to Cheyenne, Wyoming is where we hit most of our cross winds.

Tomorrow we are aiming for about 830 miles.
