Dear friends and family…
We have made it to the Rosarita area.
Actually we are between Rosarita, Tijuana, and the Pacific Ocean. Valentina
flew out early so that she could do some work in the Los Angeles area. John and
Mary flew out on a different flight than us because they are going home a
different way. Jon, Jared, Jacob, Tammy and I flew out together.
Here is the crew at the Project Mexico office in Chula Vista…
We have joined up with about 150 other people
from across the country. Today we are getting our camp set up. Yes…those are
tents that you see. We will be camping this week. Fortunately the Pacific Ocean
is on the other side of the hill so we are getting some wonderful winds blowing
through the area in the afternoon and evening.
Our campsite…women on left, men on the right.
Conclusion
I am going to keep this one short. It has
been a long day starting at 3:45 at the airport this morning. I will try to
continue to post updates every day.
If you would like to get more information on
Project Mexico and St. Innocent Orphanage you can check them out at http://projectmexico.org/Home.aspx. I have also been posting updates on Facebook (david.b.short) if
you would like to follow those updates.
Thanks for your prayers and thoughts.
Looks like your campsite might be flooded if it rains!
